HONORED TWICE OVER: DE WINS PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AND PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD

May 27, 2026

LOS ANGELES, CA β€” We are deeply honored to share that DE has received not one, but two CMAA SoCal Chapter Awards β€” the Project Achievement Award and the Project of the Year Award. πŸ† The Project Achievement Award, announced ahead of the ceremony, was a wonderful recognition on its own. But to then be named Project of the Year at the event on May 27 was a moment we will not soon forget.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible people behind this work. A heartfelt thank you to our partner, KDG, and our entire CM Team of diverse subcontractors, whose collaboration and commitment were integral to this project's success. And to our own DE team β€” your dedication, expertise, and hard work are what made this achievement real.

We are also proud to share this honor with LA Metro and Los Angeles World Airports. To contribute to projects that serve our region at that scale is a privilege we do not take for granted. Being acknowledged with a CMAA award β€” one of the most prestigious recognitions in our industry β€” is a true honor.

We are grateful, humbled, and energized to keep delivering work worthy of this recognition.

Grand Opening of the LAX/Metro Transit Center

June 6, 2025

LOS ANGELES, CA - Destination Enterprises was proud to be in attendance at the Grand Opening of the LAX/Metro Transit Center this past June, celebrating a landmark moment in the evolution of Los Angeles' public infrastructure.

This transformative project achieves something long envisioned for the region: a direct connection between the Los Angeles Metro system and LAX, making travel more efficient, sustainable, and accessible for millions of Angelenos and visitors from around the world. It is the kind of investment that changes how a city moves and, by extension, how it grows.

The timing could not be more significant. With Los Angeles set to host matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and serve as the host city for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the LAX/Metro Transit Center will play a central role in welcoming the world and moving people across the region with the efficiency and sustainability that a global stage demands.

Destination Enterprises is especially proud of the role our colleagues played in bringing this complex, high-impact project to completion. Their expertise and dedication are now woven into the fabric of Los Angeles' infrastructure legacy.

We also take particular pride in highlighting the leadership of DE President Marcy Szarama, who collaborated in curating an all-women-owned-business construction management team for this project. That achievement reflects our organization's broader commitment: to build not only structures, but a more equitable and inclusive industry.

This is what it means to help a city shine on the world stage. Destination Enterprises is honored to be part of it.

MST SURF! BUSWAY GROUNDBREAKING

June 28, 2025

Monterey, CA - This summer, our team had the pleasure of attending the official groundbreaking ceremony for Monterey-Salinas Transit's SURF! Busway and Bus Rapid Transit Project on June 28, 2025. It was wonderful to gather with fellow project partners, community leaders, and transit advocates to mark this exciting milestone.

The SURF! project includes a five-mile, bus-only roadway running parallel to the heavily congested segment of Highway 1, from Marina to Sand City and Seaside, along a publicly owned former rail corridor. The project will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve transit travel time, and increase transit ridership in the increasingly congested Highway 1 corridor.

Construction is expected to complete in spring 2028, and we look forward to watching this transformative project take shape for the Monterey County community.

A special thank you to Carl Sedoryk, Lisa Rheinheimer, and Vince Dang of MST for their leadership and dedication in bringing this project to life β€” your vision is shaping the future of regional transportation.

We're proud to be part of projects like this one, investments that connect people, support local economies, and build a more sustainable future.

Community impact: 9th District South Central Winter Wonderland

December 13, 2025

LOS ANGELES, CA - Destination Enterprises was honored to participate once again in the 9th District South Central Winter Wonderland community holiday event, a gathering that exemplifies the spirit of service, solidarity, and seasonal giving.

Every donation was claimed within 30 minutes. It's a simple but powerful reminder that thoughtful, targeted giving meets real needs, and that every member of a community, including its four-legged residents, deserves to be seen and supported.

Events like this are where our mission becomes tangible. DE's vision to transform neighborhoods and enhance the lives of all beings is not reserved for large-scale initiatives. It is lived in moments like these: on a winter morning, present and engaged alongside the people we serve.

We extend our gratitude to the 9th District for hosting another outstanding event, and we recognize our President, Marcy Szarama, Dr. Sherman Gay, and the entire DE team for their continued generosity, leadership, and presence in the field. Showing up consistently, with intention and heart, is how lasting community trust is built. DE looks forward to returning in 2026!
